I live in San Francisco and love things related to books and words…libraries, crosswords, puns, forgotten words and phrases, bookstores, looking up words in the dictionary, Scrabble and Boggle, book clubs, book fairs, spoken word, repurposed books, and especially giant bookshelves. And lists.

Hi there — just wanted to thank you for mentioning my book, STANDING STILL, when it came out last year.
It’s now in paperback, and to celebrate, I’m offering to guest blog or do a giveaway — any interest?

I’ll put your blog to my blogroll, so I can have an update from your posts.
Anyway, sorry if I have a bad written English. A really nice blog you have! :-)
I recently had to critique this ad for a design magazine. Would love to hear your honest opinion of it.

(i came across your blog whilst researching my friend Georgia Russell, an artist/sculptor you have featured on your blog)
Jason, I watched this ad with a dropped-open jaw — it’s incredible. I think it should be featured in an altered books exhibit. I didn’t have a clue what the ad was promoting until the very end. Watching the paper come to life, I thought maybe it was an ad for a movie adaptation of a book. I also got so wrapped up in watching how the paper was changing forms that I found myself not listening to the narrator…not sure if that was the intended effect! I’d be interested in seeing your critique. Do you have a link?
Wonderful blog, i am a book lover too.
Congratulations from Mexico
